George Masters Brain Chapter 2 – His Journey to the Riverina

This blog is the second chapter of George Masters Brain’s story; it covers the period between when he left South Australia in 1873 and (seemingly) arrived in the Riverina in 1878. There is very little objective evidence available to allow us to trace George’s movements during this time; in fact two of the main events occurring during the period were separated by four years – a long time to draw any credible inferences. Perhaps this story may encourage other members of our family to re-examine their own records to help us understand what George had to endure during what must have been a very difficult time for him.
